Welcome to Carmarthen Judo Club which is open at the dojo (judo training area) in the Leisure Centre, Johnstown. The Club was started over 50 years ago by two local martial art exponents – Gwilym Vanderbrink and Michael Edwards. The Club is family orientated and takes advantage of the top class facilities offered. Judo is taught in a non-threatening atmosphere, which makes learning fun and enjoyable. Many people, having learnt their judo with us, have gone on to gain National and International honours. Others are happy to just train within the confines of the Club as a fun method of keeping fit and supple. We have training sessions for children and adults starting at five years of age and going up to, well no age limit – as long as the body is willing and able. Costs for training are kept to a minimum as everyone associated with the club gives their time for free. The Club’s dojo is recognised as a nationally respected centre for judo and other martial arts. We are determined it will continue to train many more people in the future. We hope you enjoy your association with our Club. All are welcome!
